Family Fun
This is my take on Jessica Sprauges lesson for creating your own scalloped edge frame. It was a fun scrap lift where I learned a bit, too.

Cool little Dudes
This post is not a normal post. This has two versions of the same pictures! When the green layout was finished, I was worried the journaling was difficult to read, so I tried a different background paper and came up with the black version. I really like them both and couldn't decide which was the keeper, so here they both are.

Journaling reads:
In the past week you guys have grown very attached to sunglasses... or as you call them "eyes". You haven't yet mastered putting them on or taking them off, but you sure have fun trying!

Little Steps
Credits here
Journaling reads:
I can't believe you are walking down the stairs like big kids. When did you grow big enough to do this?
It seems like only last week you were getting frustrated because the railing was too high for you to reach and you'd have to lay on your belly and scootch your way down stairs -one step at a time.
My boys are growing and little things like this make me realize how quickly it is happening.

Oompa

Journaling reads:
Halloween 2006
Your cousin Matthew gave us the inspiration to dress you all up as Oompa Loompas this year. He has a fascination with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It just seemed perfect!
After searching all over the internet for costumes, I realized I would have to make them. Armed with Rit dye, brown markers and a bit of your Nana’s help -we had the cutest little Oompa Loompas I had ever seen!

Fourth of July
Credits here
Journaling reads:
For as long as your Dad and I can remember, we have celebrated the Fourth of July with the people in Nana’s and Pop’s neighborhood. They are people we have known and enjoyed since before you were born. This year the celebration was at the Smith’s house. They had lots of great BBQ and everyone couldn’t believe how big you all had gotten since they had last seen you.
Lucas and Wyatt loved all the lights and sounds! They would look up and ooh and ahh with us when the big fireworks lit up the sky. Jaxon stayed with Nana inside, preferring to not be so close to all the noise. Your Dad and I loved watching the whole night through your eyes!
