Aunt Leigha took us to a Christmas display called the Magical Forest. There were hundreds of decorated trees, many Santas and thousands of lights. You loved all the penguins, elves and little workshops that they had set up.
After walking around, we all went inside to warm up and eat lots of funnel cake. We had such a great time and you boys learned so much more about Christmas!

We went to the Gift of Lights and you boys were mesmerized. Slowly we drove through the park hearing little “wow”s coming from the backseat. The light show lasted about 15 minutes and still you were asking for more when it was over. It is so neat to see things like this through your eyes.

My mom gave me this flower kit, and I secretly wanted to throw it away. Plants don’t usually do well in my hands. However, I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, so I followed the directions on the box and planted the bulb with the dirt it included. Only a week or so later it started to grow and now I am so thankful for the beautiful Amaryllis.

Tonight we made our gingerbread house. You were so eager to help and loved all the colors (and tastes) of the candy. All three of you kept sneaking little bites in your mouth. You were heart broken when we made you stop eating the candy, but were happy once we let you eat the gingerbread men. I think this will be our first family tradition.

You boys are so into Christmas lights this year. “More lights” you all say as we drive around town. Up and down the streets we go so you can get a look at the lights in the neighborhoods.
Your Dad was excited to get our Christmas decorations up for you. Even though he is not a big fan of ladders, he spent well over 3 hours painstakingly putting up all the different lights and decorations. I think he did a beautiful job!
You especially love the manger we made and like to tell “bee-bee Gee-bee” (Baby Jesus) “night-night”.

Today we brought you for your second this year to see Santa Claus. We didn’t have high hopes and thought you might be shy or maybe even freak out a bit (again).
Luckily, you finally warmed up to Santa. We all sat down on his bench as his helper quickly took our picture.
Jaxon even gave Santa a high-five before we left!

While the boys were napping, Don gathered some discarded wood pieces and a pallet from a nearby field.
By the time the boys woke up, we had built a manger for our Nativity scene.
