December 18th

Journaling reads:

Tonight we stopped by Nana & Pops house and saw they had picked up a fresh Christmas
tree. All the bright ornaments really caught your attention! You boys loved picking out your own to hang on the tree. Poor Nana lost a few ornaments tonight when you tried to make the glass ones bounce. Three separate times.

I am very excited about the new computer. I was floored when the guy said they would replace mine. I even argued with him and said I would be happy with a $300 off coupon.

My biggest question is about printing the 12 x 12. Do you first copy it onto a c.d. then take the c.d. to put in Costco's copy machine?? Otherwise, I can't think how it could be printed away from home. Certainly the smaller albums would do fine at home, but I bet they would be cheaper done at Costco as good ink is so expensive. (I/m buying a new printer with a copy machine).

I've been making books for all of the grandchildren for years--mostly with computer and stickers (before scrapbooking was "in") Doing a lot of cutting and pasting. I made books with my students for years before I retired. Sometimes I think of what we could do now!!! (if I was still teaching)

The only two 12 x 12 albums I've made (the others have all been smaller) were of a Disney Cruise we took two years ago. They are soooo heavy, and they are very big for children to handle. I usually put them on a table and have them turn the pages that way.

I am so thankful for you that your little fellow is feeling better. Your boys are so cute and I love reading your adventures in raising them. I'm always anxious to see new pictures. All of you Moms with multiplies deserve much praise as you raise these little ones. Some day you will look back on it and think "How did I do that?" but isn't it amazing each new day, you are given strength for that day??

I'm figuring this blogging out a little more each time I use it. I realize now that you don't have to put this down as a comment, but rather this email has the message in total. This is pretty long, so feel free to keep it out of the comment section.

Thanks for taking the time to tell me more. I am so anxious for the new machine, but I still have lots to download off of this one, then hope to send it Monday. (I am truly addicted to my computer, so I will have some withdrawals in the days ahead.)

Thanks again for your help.
Warmly,
Joan in Portland
